SAR-SM (Section Artisanale Rurale - Section Ménagère) are government post-primary schools located in rural areas. Students learn trades such as masonry, carpentry and tailoring.

Estimated at 288 in February 2023, these schools are losing ground in Cameroon, not only because of the rural exodus of young people, but also and above all because of the lack of equipment for optimal training of learners.

The government of Cameroon, through the Ministry of Vocational Training, aims to transform these SAR-SM into training centres for modern trades.
