The DIPES I (Diplôme de Professeur de l'Enseignement Secondaire premier grade) is a national diploma in Cameroon. It is awarded by the Ecoles Normales Supérieures, which are responsible for training general secondary school teachers, teachers of normal education and guidance counsellors; promoting basic research in general and educational research in particular, in-service training and distance learning; retraining and further training of teaching staff, including teachers appointed as educational inspectors.
