Teachers Grade 1 Certificate (CAPIEMP)

The Teachers Grade 1 Certificate, known in its French acronym as CAPIEMP, is a vocational diploma awarded in the end of training at the Government Teachers Training College (GTTC) known as ENIEG (Ecoles Normale d'Instituteurs de l'Enseignement Général). They can teach in nursery and primary schools in Cameroon. 

According to information available on MINESEC website, CAPIEMP training for candidates from the French-speaking sub-system lasts between 1, 2 or 3 years, depending on whether one GTTC entrance examination is taken with the Baccalaureate, Probatoire or BEPC respectively.

For candidates from the English-speaking sub-system, the course lasts 1 or 3 years, depending on whether you have the GCE OL (3 years) or GCE AL (1 year).
