FAR-NORTH Region

The Far-North Region is a first level administrative region of Cameroon with a surface area of 34263 km2. It comprises six (6) divisions and fourty-seven (47) subdivisions. 

The capital of the Far-North Region is Maroua. The region is bordered to the north by the le lake Chad, to the east by Chad, to the south by the North Region and Chad and to the west by Nigeria.

 

Almost every locality in the Far-North Region has a multitude of basic, secondary, higher education and vocational training schools.

The predominant official language of the Far-North Region is french.
