
2025 Competitive Entrance Examination into ASMAC

CONJOINT ORDER N° 18250315 MINOFSTATE/ MlNHEIMINCOM OF 30 JULY 2025
To launch the competitive entrance examination into level one of Bachelor Degree, of the Advanced School of Mass communication (ASMAC) of the University of Yaoundé II and staling the number of places available per speciality for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Article 1: the public is hereby informed that:
- Students of Baccalauraureate of ail series;
- Holders baccalaureate in ail series or of the GCE-All;
- Holders of all certificates equivalent to the baccalaureate or GCE-AL recognised by Ministry of Higher Education;
A competitive entrance examination comprising the written and oral components in the Advanced School of Mass Communication for the 2025-2026 academic year, shall hold in the unique center of Yaoundé.
The following sections are concemed:
- Joumalism: 60 places for Cameroonian candidates and 10 for non-nationals;
- Organizational communication: 45 places for Cllmeroonian candidates and OS for non-nationals; Documentary information: 50 places for Cameroonian candidates and 05 for non-nationals;
- Publishing and graphic arts: 35 places for Cameroonian candidates and 05 for non-nationals; Advertising: 35 places for Cameroonian candidates and 05 for non-nationals.
Article 2: Condition to be fulfillcd
The compctitive entrance examination is opened to candidates of both sexes who possess the following qualifications:
- Be holder of the Baccalaureate of any field or the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level in at least two subjects and in one sitting, excluding Religious knowledge or as the General Certificate of Education ordinary level passed in at least four subjects in one sitting excluding Religious knowledge.
- Foreign applicants shall fulfil admission requirements so as to be admitted in ASMAC Bachelor Degree.
Article 3: The examination
The competitive entrance examination comprises the following components:
- A written part on general knowledge (time allowed: 3 hours, coef.6)
- A written part dealing with a summary of a document of about ten pages (Time allowed: 3 hours, coef.4)
- Academic performances of Lower Sixth, Upper and GCE "A" Level;
- And oral evaluation (coef.4).
Article 4: Candidate's application file
The file comprises the following document:
1. For all the candidates
Candidate's individual registration form is obtainable free of charge either from:
- The ASMAC,
- The Regional delegations of communication
Candidate's individual registration form is also available on the following web sites:
- The Higher Education: http: /www.minesup.gov.cm;
- The ASMAC: www.esstic.cm
- A certified true photocopy of birth certificate not more than three months old;
- A certified true photocopy of Baccalaureate or GCE AL certificates slip or of the success testimonial of any of these certiticates as case may be;
- A certified true photocopy of Probatoire or GCE OL certificates or result slips;
- A medical certiticate of fitness not older than three months issued by a state medical practitioner testifying that the candidate is fit for higher education;
- Four (4) recent passport size photographs of the candidates with names written behind;
- An A4 size self-addressed envelope bearing a 400 francs CF A postal stamp with candidate's address on it.
2. For non-nationals
Besides the aforementioned requirements to ail the candidates, non-national shall produce:
- A commitment to pay school fees of 500.000 CFA for candidates from CEMAC member countries and 1 million CFA for other foreigners annually;
- An attestation of scholarship
Article 5: Registration fees
The registration fees for the entrance examination are twenty (20 00 FCFA), payable at the Bange Bank account number 38500842104-97. Photocopies of the registration fee payment receipt must be attached to the application file.
The registration fees are not reimbursable. It is destined to cover charges generated of The organization of the entrance exarnination.
Article 6: The candidate's complete application file shall be dcpositcd at the academic office, ASMAC P.O Box 1328 Yaoundé not later than august 29th 2025 at 3:30 PM.
Only candidates who deposit a complete application files will be allowed to write, after a proof of national identity card and the receipt of registration fees.
Article 7: the competitive entrance examination will take place on September 2nd 2025 for the written part from and 5th September 2025 for the oral.
Article 8: Admission
- 1. The number of national candidates who are finally admitted depends on the number of Places available on merit provided that the candidates obtain at least 10/20.
- Foreign candidates who fulfil academic or professional conditions which give them access to the competitive entrance examination into ASMAC will be admitted within the limit ofstatutory quota to register in ASMAC after their files have been studied by an ad hoc commission chaired by the Director of ASMAC including the Deputy Director, the heads of Department and permanent lecturers of the School.
- The finâl results are published by the Minister of Higher Education and the Minister of Communication compiled in order of merit and proposed by a jury that is constituted by the regulation in force.
Article 9: The Rector of the University of Yaoundé II, and the Director of Advance School of Mass Communication are each in his capacity, responsible for the implementation ofthis order which shall be registered and published wherever need be.
