The written examinations for the CEP (Certificat d'Etudes Primaires) and the FSLC (First School Leaving Certificate) for the 2024 session were held in Cameroon from Tuesday 04 to Wednesday 05 June 2024 in the various examination centres throughout the country.

The vast majority of pupils at the end of their primary education (CM2 in the French-speaking sub-system and Class 6 in the English-speaking sub-system) faced the CEP exams in the French-speaking sub-system and the FSLC exams in the English-speaking sub-system with confidence.

In a fashionable move in Cameroon, some pupils in CM1 took the CEP and Concours d'entrée en 6e exams. Some parents feel that their children are a little more intelligent than the average and/or those of others, so they make them sit these primary school leaving exams in CM1.

Whether they are in CM2 or CM1, the total number of candidates who took the written tests for the CEP 2024 is more than 336,700 pupils.

After the written phase, candidates and their parents naturally await the announcement of the results.
